Description

This is the first in a series of eBooks exploring the dynamic fusion of AI and construction.  The eBook series will help you learn how these advanced technologies can elevate your projects, making them more streamlined, automated, cost-efficient and ultimately, more successful.  To make these concepts more tangible, the series focues on a practical, real-life project -- the development of a high-rise residential building with retail spaces on the ground floor. This project was selected as it encapsulates the typical challenges and intricacies found in our industry. The intent of the series is to offer more than just theoretical knowledge about AI's role in project management.

You will be equiped with the practical know-how necessary to generate extensive project data, for example, creating:

  • a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • task lists
  • timeframes
  • resources, and
  • cost estimates.

You will also learn more about the creation and understanding of schedule sequencing, baselines, updates and analysis.  Finally, you will learn how AI can be used to manage project risks and develop process-flow diagrams that can illustrate construction methodologies.

In conclusion, you'll gain skills to use this data to create a cost- and resource-loaded schedule that ideally could serve as an input to load into a Critical Path Method (CPM) application. This knowledge has the potential to redefine how we tackle construction project management, making our work more efficient, less demanding and vastly more satisfying.
