ChatGPT has placed Artificial Intelligence front and center in everyone's consciousness. Recently, Scott Pelley, in his interview with Google CEO Sundar Pichai exclaimed on 60 Minutes that it's coming and you need to be prepared. Not just what it can do for you, but also how it may affect your job. According to Pichai, those likely to be affected include "...knowledge workers. People like writers, accountants, architects and, ironically, software engineers. AI writes computer code too." Our first mission at Construction AI is to fill you in and get you started using ChatGPT to assist in your day-to-day activities, including business development, design and project management to contract closeout and claims.
News and developments by hands-on expert
To accomplish our missions, we sought out experienced users who have already developed expertise in their field. Every two weeks, AI Construction News will present construction-specific articles from experienced industry, including:

Start on the ground floor and learn with us at your own pace
This will be a learning experience for us as well. Trust us; we didn't know what some of the above terms were two months ago! We have many questions. For example, what exactly is "training a model?" Are we training ChatGPT? Can we develop and train our own company model? Or just a model for a specific construction project? We hope to address these and many more new questions in the coming months and years.
Community and sharing
In addition to our own editorial efforts, our readers can provide feedback on individual articles or participate in our exclusive site topic forums. We would not be surprised if we and our readers learn as much from you as you do from us. We're confident many of our readers will have developed productive chat prompts and process that they will want to share.
Since all this AI stuff is new and as we are collectively in the learning process together, consider yourself on the ground floor. You'll be learning as you go and will have much less to catch up on than if you wait 3, 6 or 12 months or more.
We look forward to you joining us on this new journey.
